Journal Entry , Day 22, Monday,  June 21,1976 Washington Crossing Historical Park,NJ...14mi

Left the fairgrounds at 6:30 am and the weather was very nice , but about an hour out Dawn went by and said it was going to rain- and it did.  We all got soaked and it rained off & on most of the morn.

Going down the road on a rainy morning

We got in about 12:30.  Lee, Tom & Ranny left for Lancaster to get the "New" harnesses fixed and I watched the horses & wagon for the rest of the day.  They got back about 10 pm with bells on, Lee bought a set of sleigh bells !

This park is right on the Delaware River where Washington crossed into Pennsylvania.  It is beautiful on the top of the hill, you can see for miles.  We are only 2 miles from Pennsylvania, but we will be continuing in New Jersey on a Bicentennial Tour to southern NJ until July 1st.  This is not good for the morale.
